Here is how to get the Subclipse plugin for Eclipse (supporting subversion commands from within Eclipse) to work on Windows.
From within Eclipse, choose Window→Preferences...→Team→SVN. You should see the following dialog:
Make sure that in the SVN interface section of the dialog, the SVNKit (Pure Java) option is selected.
Once you have applied this configuration change, you should be able to access your team's subversion repository from within Eclipse. (This is considerably more convenient than using TortoiseSVN from the Windows file explorer.)
