Biennale Internazionale Dell’Arte Contemporanea

[Biennial International Contemporary Art Exhibition]

Florence, Italy

My lifetime juried acceptance and participation in the Florence, Italy Biennale exhibition was thrilling and humbling. In 2005, I attended my first one. At that time, I was one of 768 artists from 74 countries to participate.

Here are some pictures from the exhibition.

 Opening Ceremony December 3

The exhibition was held at the Fortezza Da Basso in Florence, Italy,  a huge fort-like building now used for exhibition purposes.

Each artist is allowed to display three pieces.

Empty Wine Bottle [left],

Purple Jug [middle] and

Peppers for Sale [right] were my choices. All are oil paintings.

The committee chose the following painting for the 2005 Biennale catalog under my name
