William H. Steel, PhD.
Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Dr. Steel is the coordinator of the General Chemistry sequence at YCP. Outside of the classroom, his research focuses on solute partitioning across aqueous-organic liquid-liquid boundaries. He, and the students who work with him, examine these systems using UV-visible spectroscopy in order to understand the kinetics and thermodynamics of the partitioning process.
